Isntree Ultra-Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Mask foil pouch
Good choice for Dehydration
What Makes This Different

It puts eight hyaluronates in the sixth to thirteenth positions of a cotton sheet mask, higher and heavier than the format usually carries, with deep-sea water second, acetyl glucosamine, polyglutamic acid and trehalose behind them, and six water-based flower extracts for calm, all fragrance-free at under $3 a sheet. It is the sheet mask that gives a cotton format something close to a hydrogel's staying power.

The Hyaluronate-Heavy Everyday Sheet
mask sheet-mask k beauty Paraben Free Fungal Acne Safe Cruelty Free Vegan

A fragrance-free cotton sheet mask that puts eight hyaluronates in the sixth to thirteenth positions, deep-sea water second and acetyl glucosamine, polyglutamic acid and trehalose behind them, which gives a cotton format something close to a hydrogel's staying power at under $3 a sheet. It plumps, cools and calms every skin type and does nothing else, the cotton still dries faster than a gel, and the six flower names in the list are extracts, not oils. One of the better-built everyday hydrating masks sold, and priced as one.

A few dozen reviews on YesStyle for the 2026 version and larger pools on the earlier one give the mask a modest record of its own, in a hyaluronic line with a substantial one, and the brand publishes no testing. The assessment rests on the disclosed essence and the well-documented behaviour of multi-weight hyaluronate formulations under a saturated sheet rather than on this version's outcome data.

Review

Full Review

Read enough sheet-mask ingredient lists and a pattern appears: water, glycerin, a glycol or two, then thirty botanicals, then, somewhere near the end beside the preservative, a single sodium hyaluronate for the label. Isntree's Ultra-Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Mask inverts the order. After water, Ulleungdo sea water, glycerin and two glycols come eight hyaluronates in a row, positions six to thirteen: hydrolysed sodium hyaluronate, the ultra-low-molecular fraction the line is named for, then sodium hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid, a cationic hydroxypropyltrimonium form, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, an acetylated form, a cross-linked polymer and potassium hyaluronate. Only then do the six flower extracts begin. That placement is the review, because it is why a cotton sheet, a format that usually gives an evening's dew, leaves a plump that is still visible the next morning. Nothing else about the mask is unusual; the ordering is.

The mechanism is the multi-weight complex used properly. The very-low-weight hydrolysed fractions penetrate the outer epidermis, where large hyaluronic acid cannot go, and hydrate the layers where fine dehydration lines form; the cationic and acetylated forms have some substantivity to skin and stay after rinsing; the cross-linked polymer and the large native forms film on the surface and hold water there. Behind them, acetyl glucosamine, a hyaluronic acid precursor with small data for hydration and tone, polyglutamic acid, a fermented polymer that holds water on the surface, and trehalose extend the effect; squalane adds a trace of emollience so the essence does not tighten as it dries; allantoin, betaine and arginine soothe and buffer. The six flower extracts, borage, chamomile, cornflower, hyacinth, lavender and clary sage, are water-based extracts rather than essential oils, which matters: the mask is genuinely fragrance-free, with no terpene allergens, and the lavender and chamomile on the label are names rather than scents. The deep-sea water second in the list is the line's signature, mineral-rich and modestly evidenced in leave-on use, and here mostly identity, the way a brand's signature water always is.

In use it is a very wet, well-fitting mask. The wave-textured cotton is saturated with a viscous, slippery essence, clings closely, cools a little, and after fifteen minutes lifts off to leave the face plumped, dewy and calm, with a tackiness that a moisturiser settles; the pouch holds enough extra essence for the neck and the backs of the hands, and it would be a waste to throw it away. After an acid or retinoid night, after sun, or the evening before an occasion, it does what a sheet mask is for and holds it longer than a cotton sheet has any right to. The reviews on the current 2026 version are few and the older version's pool is larger, and both say the same things: thick sheet, lots of essence, plump lasts, no sting, and, from the careless, a sheet left on too long that dried and pulled, which is the format's one rule and the pouch prints it.

The limits are the format's. A cotton sheet dries within twenty minutes and, once dry, wicks water back out of the skin, so it must come off damp, and a hydrogel would hold the same essence longer; the essence is heavy enough with polymers to feel tacky until a cream goes over it; and the mask hydrates and calms and does nothing else, whatever the words ultra-low molecular suggest about depth. It reaches the outer epidermis, not the dermis, and plumps fine lines by hydrating them, which is the honest ceiling of any hyaluronic product, however the marketing measures its molecules. The chamomile extract is the one thing a daisy-allergic person should note; everyone else has nothing on the list to read twice.

On price, $27.54 for ten sheets at the brand's global store, about $2.75 a sheet, is among the cheaper well-formulated hydrating masks sold, and cheaper per sheet than most cotton masks with a fraction of the hyaluronate; two or three a week makes a box last a month. It is not cheap hydration against the line's own toner, which carries similar humectants for pennies a use, so the money buys the occlusion, the ritual and the staying power, which for a fridge stocked with masks is the whole point of the format.

So the recommendation is easy and broad. Any skin that wants a fragrance-free, calming, genuinely plumping sheet mask to use several times a week without thinking, from dehydrated and sensitive to oily and combination, will find this one of the best-built cotton masks at any price and a bargain at this one, which is not a sentence that gets written about many sheet masks. Anyone wanting a mask to do more than hydrate should look elsewhere, and anyone who wants the plump to last past tomorrow should know that no sheet mask, however many hyaluronates it lists, manages that.

IngredientFunctionEvidence
Eight-Form Hyaluronic Acid Complex (Ultra-Low Molecular) Eight hyaluronates from the sixth to the thirteenth position, unusually high for a sheet mask, led by hydrolysed sodium hyaluronate, the ultra-low-molecular fraction the line is named for; the small forms reach into the outer epidermis and the cationic, acetylated and cross-linked forms film on top, so a cotton sheet delivers more lasting plump than its format usually manages. Established mechanism for Dehydration · established mechanism
Ulleungdo Deep Sea Water Second in the list, ahead of glycerin: mineral-rich deep-sea water from Ulleung Island that replaces part of the water base and gives the essence its magnesium and calcium, with modest leave-on evidence for barrier support and a great deal of marketing tradition behind it. Not yet assessed
Acetyl Glucosamine with Polyglutamic Acid and Trehalose Three humectants beyond the hyaluronates: N-acetyl glucosamine, a hyaluronic acid precursor with small data for hydration and tone, polyglutamic acid for a water-holding surface film and trehalose for drought-proofing; together they extend how long the plump lasts after the sheet comes off. Not yet assessed
Six-Flower Soothing Extracts (Borage, Chamomile, Cornflower, Hyacinth, Lavender, Clary Sage) Water-based flower extracts, not essential oils, in the middle of the list for a calming note; chamomile and cornflower have traditional soothing use, and the lavender here is an extract rather than the oil, so the mask stays fragrance-free while carrying botanical names. Not yet assessed
Squalane, Allantoin and Betaine A light emollient with two soothing agents low in the list, which keep a hyaluronate-heavy essence from feeling tight as it dries and calm skin that is stressed or sun-flushed during the wear. Not yet assessed

Layering Tips

After cleansing and toner, unfold the wave-patterned sheet over the face for ten to twenty minutes, remove it while still damp, pat in the essence and seal with a moisturiser; the sheet holds a lot of essence, so the pouch's remainder covers the neck. It suits any night, after an acid or retinoid, or before an event, and works well chilled.

Results Timeline

Immediate: cooled, plumped, dewy skin with fine dehydration lines softened for the evening. Short-term (2-3 uses a week): a better-hydrated, calmer surface, with the plump lasting into the next morning more often than a cotton mask usually manages. Long-term: nothing cumulative beyond hydration; a sheet mask treats nothing.

Science & Expert Perspective

The Science

The mask is a non-woven cotton sheet carrying a hyaluronate-rich aqueous essence, and its effect is transient surface and outer-epidermal hydration. Hyaluronic acid's hydration effect depends on molecular weight: fractions below roughly 50 kDa penetrate the stratum corneum and hydrate the outer epidermis, with controlled evidence for improved hydration and reduced fine-line depth over weeks of leave-on use, while high-molecular-weight and cross-linked forms remain on the surface as water-retaining films. This essence carries eight species, hydrolysed sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid, hydroxypropyltrimonium hyaluronate, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, sodium acetylated hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer and potassium hyaluronate, spanning that range and including cationic and acetylated forms with documented substantivity to skin after rinsing; their placement in the sixth to thirteenth positions, ahead of all botanicals, indicates a substantially higher total hyaluronate load than is typical of sheet masks, and the semi-occlusion of a saturated sheet increases delivery for the duration of wear. Glycerin, butylene glycol and dipropylene glycol provide humectancy; acetyl glucosamine, an amino sugar precursor of hyaluronic acid, has small clinical data for hydration and reduction of hyperpigmentation at 2 percent in leave-on use; polyglutamic acid forms a water-holding surface film; trehalose is a stabilising disaccharide humectant; squalane adds minimal emollience; betaine, allantoin and arginine soothe and buffer.

Sea water, second in the list, supplies magnesium, calcium and other ions with limited leave-on evidence for barrier support and no demonstrated effect in a short-contact mask. Borago officinalis, Chamomilla recutita, Centaurea cyanus, Hyacinthus orientalis, Lavandula angustifolia and Salvia sclarea are aqueous flower extracts with traditional soothing use and in vitro anti-inflammatory data; they do not carry the terpene fragrance allergens of the corresponding essential oils, though chamomile extract can elicit reactions in Asteraceae-sensitive individuals. The cotton format loses essence to evaporation within about twenty minutes and, once dry, reverses hydration by wicking, which is the basis of the instruction to remove the mask while damp. Preservation uses 1,2-hexanediol, hydroxyacetophenone and ethylhexylglycerin with disodium EDTA; carbomer, xanthan gum and hydroxyethylcellulose thicken the essence and polyglyceryl esters solubilise. The formula is fragrance-free, alcohol-free and free of comedogenic esters and Malassezia substrates. It is vegan and suitable in pregnancy. The brand's testing is unpublished, and no independent study of the mask exists.

Dermatologist Perspective

Dermatologists regard sheet masks as a short hydration step, and their advice is to choose fragrance-free formulations, remove them before they dry and follow with a moisturiser; a hyaluronate-dominant, fragrance-free essence with soothing agents meets that standard fully, and clinicians would consider it an appropriate calming step after peels, procedures, sunburn or irritating actives for any skin type, including sensitive and acne-prone skin, given the absence of oils and fragrance. They would explain that low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid hydrates the outer epidermis rather than reaching the dermis, that the plumping of fine lines is hydration rather than structural change, and that no sheet mask alters pigmentation, wrinkles or acne. The chamomile extract would be noted for patients with Asteraceae allergy, and the deep-sea water described as a marketing signature. Hygiene remains the practical note: clean skin, one sheet, no reuse.

Guidance

Usage & Recommendations

How to Use

After cleansing and applying toner in the evening, open the pouch and unfold the wave-textured cotton sheet, lay it over the face aligning the eye, nose and mouth openings and smooth it flat so it clings, then relax for ten to twenty minutes. Remove it while the cotton is still damp, since a drying sheet draws water back out of the skin, pat the remaining essence into the face and neck and pour any extra from the pouch onto the chest or hands. Follow with a moisturiser to seal the hydration and settle the essence's tackiness. Use it two or three times a week, after acids, retinoids or sun, or nightly for a week before an occasion, and chill the pouch beforehand for a cooling effect. Discard each sheet after one use.

Value Assessment

At $27.54 for a box of ten on the brand's global store, about $2.75 a sheet, the mask is cheaper than most cotton sheet masks that carry a fraction of its hyaluronate, and far cheaper than the hydrogels it competes with on staying power; two or three sheets a week makes a box last a month, and the pouch's extra essence covers the neck. It is not cheap hydration against the line's own toner, which delivers similar humectants for pennies a use, so the money buys the occlusion, the ritual and a plump that lasts to morning. Good value as an everyday hydrating mask; unnecessary for anyone content with a toner.

Who Should Buy

Any skin type, from dehydrated and sensitive to oily and combination, that wants a fragrance-free, calming, genuinely plumping sheet mask to use several times a week, and anyone who has found cotton masks give an evening's dew and nothing by morning. It suits users of the brand's hyaluronic line and anyone stocking a fridge with masks for post-active and pre-event nights.

Who Should Skip

Anyone wanting a mask to brighten, firm, exfoliate or treat anything will find only hydration and calm, and anyone content with a good hyaluronic toner will get most of the effect for less. People with a daisy-family allergy should note the chamomile extract, and those who prefer a hydrogel's longer wear may find cotton limiting.

Background

The Story Behind This Product

Isntree's Ultra-Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid line grew from its original hyaluronic toner into the brand's flagship hydration range, with a serum, cream, cooling pads and this sheet mask, built on a multi-weight hyaluronate complex led by hydrolysed, ultra-low-molecular fractions and Ulleungdo deep-sea water. The mask was updated for 2026 with the current essence and is sold in ten-packs as the line's weekly treat.

About Isntree Established Brand (5–20 years)

Isntree, founded in South Korea in 2016, sells minimalist, well-priced formulas through Amazon, YesStyle and its own global store, and its Ultra-Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid line is its flagship hydration range. The sheet mask is sold in ten-packs, was reformulated for 2026, and has a small retail review pool; the brand publishes no testing.

Myth vs. Reality

Common Myths

Myth

Ultra-low-molecular hyaluronic acid penetrates deep into the skin

Reality

Hydrolysed, very-low-weight hyaluronic acid penetrates the outer epidermis rather than sitting entirely on the surface, which is why it plumps fine dehydration lines better than large forms; it does not reach the dermis or replace injected filler. The effect is a well-hydrated surface for a day or so, not a structural change.

Myth

Lavender and chamomile in the list mean the mask is scented

Reality

These are water-based flower extracts, not essential oils, and the mask is fragrance-free with no perceptible scent. Chamomile extract can still bother the rare person allergic to the daisy family, but the terpene allergens of the essential oils are not present.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Isntree Ultra-Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Mask different from other hyaluronic sheet masks?

The concentration and placement of its hyaluronates: eight forms from the sixth to the thirteenth position, led by hydrolysed ultra-low-molecular sodium hyaluronate, with deep-sea water second and acetyl glucosamine, polyglutamic acid and trehalose behind, in a fragrance-free essence on a thick wave-textured cotton sheet. Most cotton masks carry one or two hyaluronates far down the list; this one is built around them.

Is the Isntree hyaluronic sheet mask good for sensitive skin?

Yes. It is fragrance-free, alcohol-free and essentially oil-free, with allantoin and betaine to soothe and six water-based flower extracts rather than essential oils; it is safe after acids, retinoids or sun. The only caution is chamomile extract for the rare daisy-family allergy.

How long should I leave the Isntree sheet mask on?

Ten to twenty minutes, and remove it while the cotton is still damp; a drying sheet pulls water back out of the skin. Pat the essence in, use the extra from the pouch on the neck and seal with a moisturiser, which also settles the essence's slight tackiness.

Does the ultra-low-molecular hyaluronic acid go deeper than regular hyaluronic acid?

Into the outer epidermis rather than the dermis: hydrolysed, very-low-weight fractions penetrate the stratum corneum where large forms cannot, which plumps fine dehydration lines and extends hydration, while the larger and cross-linked forms in the same complex film on the surface. It is a better hydration mask, not a treatment for wrinkles.

How often can I use the Isntree hyaluronic mask?

As often as the budget allows, since nothing in it limits frequency; two or three times a week is a sensible rhythm for dehydrated or stressed skin, and daily use for a week before an event is fine. Seal each session with a moisturiser.

Is the Isntree hyaluronic sheet mask worth $27.54 for ten?

At about $2.75 a sheet it is among the cheaper well-formulated hydrating masks sold, and the hyaluronate load is heavier than most cotton masks at any price; the ten-pack lasts three to five weeks at two or three masks a week. It hydrates and calms only, which is what a sheet mask should be judged on.
