Moles Treatment

Like any other skin condition, moles should be protected from the sun. Be sure to use a sunscreen with effective UVA and UVB protection.

Moles are usually removed for cosmetic reasons or if they are suspected to be malignant. The most favored method of removal is surgery. Using a laser to remove the pigment of the mole is an option, but it is controversial due to concerns about not being able to detect a future progression to melanoma.

It’s important to note that any surgical removal of a mole will result in some form of scarring.
