Ingrown Hair Treatment
Using a combination of proper shaving techniques and good skin care may prevent ingrown hairs. Always make sure to shave with the grain and avoid pressing the razor too hard against the skin.
Keeping your skin clean and free of dirt will prevent pores from clogging and trapping hairs. Make sure to use cleansers and moisturizers for sensitive skin.
If you get an ingrown hair, it can usually be removed with a steady hand and a pair of tweezers. Topical medication such as hydrocortisone, antibiotics or tretinoin creams are often used to treat ingrown hairs. Electrolysis or laser hair removal may be considered for a persistent problem.
