What Is Inflammatory Rosacea?

Inflammatory rosacea is a serious skin condition involving persistent inflammation of the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead or eyelids. It is a more severe form of rosacea characterized by redness of the cheeks, forehead, nose and chin with acne like cysts and pustules.

The exact cause of this condition is unknown. Triggers for rosacea flares are sun exposure, stress, hot weather, alcohol, exercise and spicy foods. Although there’s no definitive cure for inflammatory rosacea the symptoms can be controlled. See our treatment video for more information.
