What Are Forehead Lines?

Forehead lines are creases in the skin that form above the brow. They usually appear as short vertical lines in the central area of the forehead or long lines that extend horizontally across the entire forehead.

They’re usually caused by resting tension of the muscles under the skin that are responsible for facial expressions, such as furrowing the brows and squinting. They generally appear as a person ages. Factors such as sun exposure and smoking can often cause these lines to start appearing earlier.

Although the development of forehead lines are a natural part of the aging process their appearance can be reduced with treatment and proper skin care. See our treatment video for more information.
